Manila Clams are indigenous to China and Russia in the North Western Pacific, but are now mostly harvested in the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska for US distribution. Our clams are primarily sourced locally here in the Pacific Northwest because the quality is exceptional and time-to-market is fast. We are able to send out Manila clams that come out of the water the day we ship them.

Storage and handling

  • Store the clams in the fridge between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Open the bag slightly so they can breath
  • Eat within 2 days
  • These clams are intended to stay alive until they are cooked
  • Discard any clams in which the shell is stuck open and not responsive to touch - indicating that it is dead
  • Discard any clams that don't open after cooking
